sweet little discoveries.....

Hello all!  Hope each of you are enjoying a lovely week.  For me, it is moving alone quite nicely I must say.  I spent the early part of the morning enjoying a sweet conversation with my daughter.  What a joy she is, so kind, full of wisdom and inspiration.  It seems as though it was just yesterday that I was braiding her hair; finishing just perfectly with those big ribbons I love to see her wear.  Now she is all grown up with a family of her own.  I see a lot of me in her, I also see a lot of her in me.  Love you dear daughter.

Have you ever spent a few hours simply browsing the web looking for something new and wonderful.  I found it to be a nice little break in the middle of the day and made some wonderful discoveries and certainly wanted to share them with you. :o)  I was simply in awe when I found this lovely website.  Elizabeth Patch, a lovely artist, teacher, motivator, author and more.  Her blog is indeed a very special place.  Through art and words she inspire women to love themselves beyond what they simply see on the outside. My visit with Elizabeth was a wonderful one for sure.  Though her art beautifully displays woman of size, it is my belief that no matter what your size you too will come away with a smile after spending a few moments there.

Jared over at Brooklyn Tweed is not new to me but his fabulous new yarn line sure is!:o)  Jared is an amazing knitwear designer and photographer.  Even if you have never picked up the needles, a visit to his site is a real treat!  The new yarn line is called "Shelter" a beautiful woolen-spun in seventeen beautiful colorways.  Oh and while you are there check out Jared's work and patterns, simply amazing!

Now if you love pretty, and what girl doesn't, you will love "nest pretty things"!   A true Etsy treasure!   I fell in love with this lovely shop the moment I laid eyes on it :o)  Tamar's beautiful jewelry will certainly bring a smile to your face.  She also has a sweet line of jewelry for the little ones.  Drop by and take a look, I promise you will be simply delighted.:o)

Beautiful wooden toys, I love them!  Check out these two wonderful artist!  The first is "Just Hatched", where you will find the most beautiful handmade puzzles and beautifully made wooden toys for kids, and grown ups too!:o)  I have my wish list in hand for this lovely shop, it is indeed something special.

Last but certainly not least is "happy squash toys", this beautiful shop certainly brought a smile to my face.  Some of the most beautiful handmade wooden pull toys I have ever seen and all so beautifully made. These beautiful wooden toys certainly brought back  memories of the wooden toys we played with as children.   Etsy never ceases to amaze me with the talented artist and crafts people that share there.  Well friends, I hope you enjoyed my sweet little discoveries.  Take care and enjoy a lovely rest of the week.

Hi Beverly!
Aw, it's so sweet that you and your daughter are kindred spirits.
I know what you mean - it's wonderful just to sit and browse the internet sometimes and make inspiring discoveries. I have so many favorites it would be difficult to choose. :)

The relationship between a daughter and her mother is one of the sweetest in the world. Sharing numerous memories, knowing each other tastes, caring about one another, it is really wonderful. Have a nice weekend, you and your daughter!
