A Little Of This And That!

Hello all! I hope each of you enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day! Mine was just lovely, a day filled with rest, relaxation and plain goodness! Mother's Day as we all know is a day filled with flowers! Knowing just how much I love to share beautiful florals with you all, Honey took time out to capture some really pretty blooms over the weekend!

One thing I did do for myself this weekend, a little Mom's Day gift to me, was to do a little reorganizing in my studio crafty room! I made a trip to my local Micheal's and also paid a visit to The Container Store, boy do I love The Container Store, it is a fabulous place for all things containers! This place has everything us crafters love! Storage jars both big and small, caddies, boxes, containers for craft papers, scrapbook supplies and soooooo much more! Honey promised to help me get organized and helped he did!:o) Now I can see all my supplies at a glance! Everything is in jars of all sizes and I even purchased a new caddie on wheels that have six pull out and removable drawers, I love it! What sparked all of this was a copy of the magazine "Where Women Create" a fabulous magazine filled with wonderfully creative spaces both large and small, lots of tips and ideas and tons of inspiration....a visual beauty! If you are thinking of doing a little reorganizing or completely redecorating your creative space this lovely magazine is a must. By the way there is a book with the same title that proceeded the magazine, the book is just lovely and so are the spaces. I still yet have some changes I would like to make, but a little at a time is the way to go for me, in that way I can think things through and it is a whole lot easier on the budget! :o) When I am done with my little changes I will be sure and share photos!

By the way, I am hoping to have my Etsy Shop open again before summer's end. I wanted so much to reopen for Spring, but not so. Although I was a little disappointed, there is one wonderful thing about having to wait just a little longer. It gives me much more time for creative thought, not mention a lesson in patience. :o) I really want my Etsy Shop to be a special place and believe all things take place in its time.

Wishing each of you a beautiful week filled with goodness!

Beverly

I am thinking that your husband is special. He sounds like a very caring person. It is so nice to hear (read) women just naturally including their husbands in their posts in a positive way.

It sounds like you are getting to feeling some better. That is awesome news.

Don't push it. Just let your body lead you...says bossy old me who has had way too many surgeries and always rushes back to the rat race only to regret it later...lol

Blessings!

Hey there sweet Becky! You are so right, and Honey reminds me often to take it easy and not to push myself to soon. One good thing about crafting, I can do it sitting down! :o) And when leaving the house I am still using my wheelchair. You should have seen me dashing through the isles of Micheal's in my chair...turn left no right!:o) As patient as my sweet hubby is I know in the back of his mind he is saying "Boy I'll be glad when this one is over...LOL!

Beverly, I so much want to see pictures of you creative studio. And that is one magazine I must get. My work area is just too chaotic right now. I like things neat and orderly.

Thank you for keeping us posted on how you're doing. I always look forward to your posts. BTW, I am one of your followers, but for some reason if you look at my list of blogs I follow, your blog shows up as a little dot (.) I don't know why the blog name doesn't show up, just the dot.

Hope your have a great week!

I love The book Where Women create. I just saw the new issue with Marie Osmond on Saturday and I so want to get it. I'm glad you made your creative space your own. So you have a nourishing place for your artwork. Your husband takes great pictures.

Beautiful flowers! Your photos are excellent!

I love this post because it's making me want to organize my "stuff" better. I need to get that book. Thank you for posting about it.

Adding to Yaya's comment...I keep up with your posts through Bloglines, and there, too, your blog is listed as a single dot/period. This began about a month ago. I've been ignoring it and only mentioned it after I say the comment about it. It's probably just some odd cyber glitch, but I do wonder about it as all the other blogs on my list have kept their proper titles...anyways...

Hope your week is as beautiful as those flowers!

A little crafty time on mom's day...that is wonderful, Beverly...a little time to think, dream, play! I am looking forward to seeing that magazine soon--can't get it here, so I look forward to it while we're on our trip Stateside! And also very much looking forward to the re-opening of your shop. Take your time, enjoy the creative process and dreaming along the way :O)... Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))

I just read your comment up there about you, hubby, and the wheel chair! How funny. I can just see you zipping around Michael's in your chair. ♥

It sounds like you had a wonderful Mothers day, I'm glad! I love to organize, I should probable stay away from the Container Store I think it means trouble. It's kinda like a nursery, when I go there I feel like an alcoholic in a liquor store. I have to have it all! I'm getting much better at just picking out one or two things. God really does answer prayers no matter how small.
Have a wonderful day my friend,
Ginger

Love the pictures of the beautiful flowers...flowers are just another reminder of God's love for all...I mean seriously how can anyone feel bad when they look at flowers?

Your honey is certainly a "dream" honey...he sounds like the most wonderful man...aren't we blessed to be able to share our lives w/such Godly men. I am thrilled to hear that you are feeling better and are out & about more...but also thankful...that you have someone to remind you to take it easy when needed. No since in rushing into things too quickly...I'll keep you in my prayers, for I know how hard it is to relax when you have SO much you want to do.

Thank you for your sweet comments on my post and your prayers & support for us selling our home in Texas. We are anxious to get to California on a permanent basis....and YES...I will be coming to San Diego during my time there, so I WILL be contacting you so we can do lunch or something, that will be such a thrill for me!! My lovin hubbin has work there on occassion and I just found out one of my best friends from high school recently moved there...plus we have a fabulous family of friends that we met through our daughter while she was in college...they are a wonderful family that we have stayed in contact since their son and our daughter graduated.

Have a lovely weekend...and I do so appreciate the prayers for the sell of our home!

Blessings...
Teresa
