Dressed and Waiting...and a Giveaway Winner Too!

Hello my friends! Hope each and everyone of you had a most lovely week, and have plans for a fabulous weekend! Mine was quite busy, but Honey and I do have plans for a lovely ride along the coast late this afternoon. I just love our coastal rides, it is a perfect time for great conversation and a visit to our favorite little shops along the way! Let me say, the winner of my little giveaway is Shell of Swan of Dreamers! I sure hope you enjoy the pincushions Shell! Let me tell you how it all came about. I still draw names the old fashion way!:o) All the names were written down by Honey, placed in a little bowl and mixed very well by him. I turned my head and picked!! Be on the look out for I have another little something coming soon I just know you all will love!

As promised, I wanted to share a little information with you all regarding my surgery. This past Wednesday was another pre-op visit. Although Honey and I have asked the same questions what seems like hundreds of times they don't seem to mind.:o) One thing I was not expecting to hear was a change in my surgery date. I was all geared up and ready to go for Tuesday, January 13th!:o) One of my physicians had a major emergency and therefore my date was pushed to February 17th. I have a team of four doctors, and this one just happens to be the one who specializes in facial reconstruction. So I think we just better wait on him!:o) This has been a long journey since my first surgery in 2005. I am looking forward to receiving my new lower left jaw and start the mending process.

Just like the little lady above, I am dressed and waiting. As I said before, like most of us girls my first question was....just what will I look like after my procedure. I have been assured I will look quite wonderful and even better with time!:o) Although a portion of my fibula bone will be used to fashion my new jaw, I am told my leg will heal rather quickly and I will be up and walking in no time. There will be lots of mending time after this procedure, but I know I will be ok. You know, you just never know what life has in store for you. That is the beauty of knowing my Saviour Christ Jesus. He knows no surprises and has it all in control, even on those days when I do not. So now that I have a few more weeks I have been thinking of a wonderful project to take hold of! Think I will do some knitting and some reading too!!:o)

Have a beautiful weekend my friends, keep me in your prayers and I promise to let you know what is going on with this little jaw of mine!:o) Talk to you in a few days!

Being confident of this very thing
that He who has begun a good work in you
will complete it until the day of Jeus Christ.

Philippians 1:3 (NKJV)

Smiles...

Beverly

Hi Beverly, thanks for the invite to the giveaway. That "got-to-wait" feeling is something to wrestle with and it's only right to commit it to the Lord like you have done. I'm truly encouraged by you and I thank God for that.

Wow, Beverly. Talk about change! So, it's in Feb now. Well, I soooooo agree. Best to wait the for main man to be there! Glad to hear you are going with the flow on it, as usual. Glad I stopped by this AM, to let you know I was thinking about you today, and prayers are with you, anyway . . . because they are. :-)

Your coastal drive with Honey sounded awesome, and how wonderful for Shell to win!

Hugs :-)

Oh, my...I came by to see if there was any news and find it has been pushed back a little. That's ok...I think God wanted you to have a little more time to think things thru and etc. HE always knows best, as you well know.
Good luck and many many blessings...

I'm sorry your surgery got pushed back, Beverly. This gives you a few more weeks to rest up and by the time February 17th comes around, you'll be even more ready! I always remind myself that God's hand is in everything ... we might not know why He chooses the things He does for us, but in the end, He knows best.

Now it's my turn to have a giveaway on my blog! If you can, please stop by.

xo,
Lynda
