In Search Of Spring......

Hello all! Boy has it been one busy week!:o) A week of doctors appointments, and a few more next week! :o) I was thinking of moving in till surgery. :o) All and all it has been a good week and the weather has been quite beautiful. First let me say, I know it is not Valentines Day just yet but I had to share this cute little vintage postcard not only is it sweet but beautiful too! The cutest little heart deliverers don't you think! I have not had as much photo time as I would like and these vintage cards and postcards are just wonderful!

As I visit many of my favorite places around blogland, I am hearing a familiar sentiment. Many are longing for Spring! :o) Many are simply wanting a break from chilling weather, while others long to see spring flowers. Almost nothing inspires like beautiful flowers and I just had to share a few wonderful places with you that just may lift your spirits ! :o) I had a new visitor on last week, a lovely watercolor artist by the name of Helene at Art Glehen Watercolours. Her work is just beautiful! Once you visit, I am sure you will come away with a smile. Also Sandy at Dream Create Inspire is a lovely artist and teacher and her blog is always filled with the most beautiful flowers imaginable!:o) Sandy is so sweet with a smile like a ray of sunshine!:o) Karen is another beautiful artist at a Scrapbook of Inspiration, her place is a place of wonder and grace and of course inspiration! Give these artist a visit and allow them to add a touch of Springtime to your day!:o)

I plan to take a blogging break the first week of February and will not be actively blogging or posting for that month. I hope to be back early March but we will see how things go. Though I will be posting next week!:o) Thank you so much my friends, you are such an inspiration and encouragement to me, a true treasure indeed. Let me also say thank you to all the new visitors who have been coming by to say hello lately! :o) I just love it when someone new drops in! :o) Each of you continue to enjoy your week and I will chat with you in a few days!

The Lord will guide you continually
and satisfy your soul in drought,
and strenghthen your bones,
you shall be like a watered garden,
and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

A Little White Poppy!

Hello my friends! Hope you are enjoying a lovely week. Mine has been wonderful thus far I must say. Thank you so much for all your kind comments regarding Honey and my anniversary! We enjoyed a beautiful day!

Honey often takes the camera with him to work for photo opportunities, and right outside his office was this sweet little white poppy with a little pod soon to bloom nestled closely by. You know when I look at something so beautiful I cannot help but smile. What a wonderful and thoughtful Creator we serve! Not only did He speak the world into its existence, but our God loved us so much that He would place such loveliness that fully surrounds us daily. As many of you know, long drives are one of my favorite things. It is then I can take in just what God has so graciously placed here on earth for our enjoyment and delight. Have you ever seen a field of lavender. How breathtaking is its beauty! Right next to my sink in the kitchen in a pretty white soap dish lies a beautiful bar of handmade lavender soap. Throughout my day I will pick it up and enjoy its fragrance and the softness of its lather and bubbles between my fingers! I love beautiful handmilled soaps and always keep one near by. One day I will have to share a few photos of my treasure chest with you!:o) It is filled with handmilled and beautifully embossed soaps, many given to me by my daughter.

This little white poppy so inspired me and I simply wanted my Heavenly Father to know I see and appreciate all that He has done. He is such a generous Father, not only did He give His Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but He has bestowed upon us blessings too numerous to recount. I love Him so much!:o)

It's Our Anniversary.....

Today Honey and I celebrate thirty-five years of marriage. It seems like only yesterday when we first met. I still remember the first time I saw him, a somewhat shy little sailor not long out of high school who had only been in the service a little over a year and very long way from home. My family fell in love with him and we fell in love with one another. That has been more than thirty five years ago! He is a wonderful man, so kind and gentle, a rare gift a true treasure. I still get butterflies when I think about him and spend my day anticipating our coming together again. Happy Anniversary Honey.

If I could reach up and hold
a star for every time you've made me smile,
the entire evening sky would be in the palm
of my hand.

Honey and I have plans for a restful and beautiful day today. And I must say it is absolutely lovely outdoors. Each of you enjoy a wonderful Sunday and a fabulous coming week!:o)

Dressed and Waiting...and a Giveaway Winner Too!

Hello my friends! Hope each and everyone of you had a most lovely week, and have plans for a fabulous weekend! Mine was quite busy, but Honey and I do have plans for a lovely ride along the coast late this afternoon. I just love our coastal rides, it is a perfect time for great conversation and a visit to our favorite little shops along the way! Let me say, the winner of my little giveaway is Shell of Swan of Dreamers! I sure hope you enjoy the pincushions Shell! Let me tell you how it all came about. I still draw names the old fashion way!:o) All the names were written down by Honey, placed in a little bowl and mixed very well by him. I turned my head and picked!! Be on the look out for I have another little something coming soon I just know you all will love!

As promised, I wanted to share a little information with you all regarding my surgery. This past Wednesday was another pre-op visit. Although Honey and I have asked the same questions what seems like hundreds of times they don't seem to mind.:o) One thing I was not expecting to hear was a change in my surgery date. I was all geared up and ready to go for Tuesday, January 13th!:o) One of my physicians had a major emergency and therefore my date was pushed to February 17th. I have a team of four doctors, and this one just happens to be the one who specializes in facial reconstruction. So I think we just better wait on him!:o) This has been a long journey since my first surgery in 2005. I am looking forward to receiving my new lower left jaw and start the mending process.

Just like the little lady above, I am dressed and waiting. As I said before, like most of us girls my first question was....just what will I look like after my procedure. I have been assured I will look quite wonderful and even better with time!:o) Although a portion of my fibula bone will be used to fashion my new jaw, I am told my leg will heal rather quickly and I will be up and walking in no time. There will be lots of mending time after this procedure, but I know I will be ok. You know, you just never know what life has in store for you. That is the beauty of knowing my Saviour Christ Jesus. He knows no surprises and has it all in control, even on those days when I do not. So now that I have a few more weeks I have been thinking of a wonderful project to take hold of! Think I will do some knitting and some reading too!!:o)

Have a beautiful weekend my friends, keep me in your prayers and I promise to let you know what is going on with this little jaw of mine!:o) Talk to you in a few days!

Being confident of this very thing
that He who has begun a good work in you
will complete it until the day of Jeus Christ.

Philippians 1:3 (NKJV)

A Sweet Little Giveaway and a Hospital Stay......

Hello to each and everyone of you! I hope your new year is starting off just delightful! I must say, mine is going pretty well. I cannot believe it is the fifth of January already!:o) It seems like just yesterday I was posting for the very first day of the year!

If you have been following Tea Time for quite some time now you may just recognize the little pink pincushions above. I made a set of three, and these little sweeties have been sitting in a drawer for over a year now. Pleasantly surprised to see them, I thought how wonderful a little gift they would make! Each little cushion is made by me and filled with rice for a wonderful weight. The little round cushion has a daisy stitched on top while the large berry is beaded! I really enjoyed making these pincushions. As I have always said before, I love to share and do giveaways. My only wish is to be able to give to each and everyone of you! I will be drawing a name on Saturday January 10th, in this way it will give me time to package and send it out before my surgery date.

Yes that time is here. I really followed my doctor's orders about enjoying the holidays, and boy did I follow those orders and I have a few pounds to prove it!!:o) I will be talking to you more about the surgery on next week. By the way, surgery is scheduled for January 13th. Now back to the cushions for a moment. One of the three is the little berry below with tiny pink stitches! I hope the one who receives them enjoy them as much as I did making them!:o)

Thank you so much my friends, keep me in your prayers and make sure you enjoy a beautiful day. I have found out, sometimes a wonderful day is about a choice!:o) So choose a lovely day for yourself! Talk to you soon!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to you my friends!! Wishing you the brightest and best new year ever!! The past year brought with it a time of tears, for with it came the passing of my dear sweet Mother. It would be unfair to say that I did not have a wonderful year, because even in the mist of deep sorrow I experienced joy....God promised that, and faithful to His promise He is. Oh I know there will be some unexpected things that will arise in our new year, but I tell you I am looking for a bright and beautiful 2009 experience! Happy New Year my friends!! Let us together make this the best blogging year yet!
