It's A Giveaway!

Hello my friends! Hope your week is going just as you planned! My week thus far I must say has been a good one, very productive. :o) Well in celebrating the reopening of my little Etsy Shop I thought I would have a giveaway! But first let me tell you a little of just how this little shop has gone! I originally opened the shop September 2007 and soon after my dear sweet mother became ill and it became so hard to keep up with shop details. Well in July I officially reopened! I sure hope when time permits you all take a look and tell me what you think!

A few weeks ago I received a very sweet email from Jackie Fleckenstein, many of you know her as the very sweet firefly of the beautiful blog 'I Live On A Farm'. She is a wonderful writer, artist, crafter. Her beautiful art work can be found in galleries throughout the country. Upon visiting my Etsy Shop she ask if she could do a segment in her 'A few of my favorite things' section in her newsletter about the shop as well as on her blog! Do drop by and read her kind words on Tea Time and Roses. I tell you my friends, I was completely lost for words. I found that to be a beautiful complement coming from an accomplished artist such as herself. If you have not visited firefly and her lovely blog please do, and I must tell you, you are in for a real treat! :o) I am so honored and delighted that she enjoyed my little Etsy Shop.....thank you so much firefly.

As you all know I just love Autumn, I call it the quiet season and so beautiful with all its colorways. I thought this Autumn maple leaf note card and tag set would be a perfect little giveaway! It is a set of eight blank note cards, each card is simply stamped with a sweet little maple leaf with a hint of Autumn color and along with it comes six little bird tags and six sweet vine tags! I so enjoyed making these! By the way, I will be sending extra cotton twine and some pretty buttons too! The cards measure 4.25 x 5.5 and will come with eight soft ivory colored envelopes!

As I was at work stamping these, I thought how I so wish I could give a set to each and everyone of you. So I decided to have a second place winner! That lovely person will receive a set of six maple leaf note cards! All you have to do is comment on this post! First time visitors are also welcome! An Apple A Day!

Hello to you! I must say I feel refreshed and ready to go! It is amazing what just a few days of relaxing can do for a girl's spirit! :o) No, I am in no way rushing the last weeks of summer, but I found these lovely pieces of fruit that so remind me of Autumn! I just could not resist these lovelies! The green apple above is actually a candle! See its little wick on top! It is a set of four, a granny smith apple, a beautiful orange, a lovely pear, and a red delicious! I think what I loved so much about these were the fact they look so real. I do not think I will be lighting these, they are just for show! While browsing around in one of my favorite craft stores I ran across a little box of Autumn fruit, oh my how pretty they were and the price just right! Our favorite stores waste no time in getting us ready for the soon coming next season! :o)

You have to admit, even in the mist of Summer these beautiful Autumn colors are simply irresistible and oh so beautiful! The pretty solid pear in the upper right hand corner is actually a candle! I guess you can tell I am pretty excited about my little finds!! :o)

A few post ago I mentioned a little Etsy news I wanted to share with all of you! Well look forward to my next post for it, and a sweet little giveaway! I love giveaways, and I have a little something special in mind I think all of you will enjoy! You know as you have heard me say so many times before....happiness is not always in those big things, but many times it is the small things that bring us so much joy! I can truly say I found great joy in the beauty of these little pieces of fruit....I surely did! What small little treasure did you find recently that made you smile? Well another weekend is upon us, and I plan to take a few days off! Well actually I started on yesterday! It is break time for Honey and me! A few days away to relax! We have our camera packed and ready to go! The next three days will be fun ones! I have so wanted to take some nature photos before summer's end, so that will indeed be one of my goals during this time. So I hope to share some wonderful new photos with you in the coming weeks! Maybe I will even be lucky enough to have a sweet little butterfly land in my hair. :o) Here is another poem taken from the book Lightpost for Living by artist Thomas Kinkade, I hope you enjoy it.

Hello......

Hello to each you, hoping your weekend was a wonderful one! Isn't summer wonderful! Such a special and fun filled time of year! I hope yours has been delightful, and you have plans for enjoying it till summer finally closes its doors!

I am so happy so many of you enjoyed the corners of my little studio! I spend lots of time in this little room, and I must say most of it is happy times! :o) I have been working pretty hard to fill the shop and it seems to be coming along quite nicely. I have a little surprise to share with you all regarding the Etsy Shop, so hold tight and in a couple weeks I will share it with you! At that time, I will also be having a sweet little giveaway so stay tuned! :o)

I was awarded the "Wylde Women Award" by Karen from eye-dyllic! This award is given for women who brighten your day, teach you new things, live their lives fully with generosity and joy! And what a beautiful award it is indeed! Tammy Vitale is the designer and talented artist responsible for this lovely piece! She designed it as a whimsical celebration of sisterhood and expression! I can pass this one on from one to one hundred! Well that is wonderful, because truly the "Wylde Women" in my blogging life are to numerous to count! Each of you have indeed taught, encouraged, shown generosity, brighten my day and brought me much joy! I am indeed honored to pass this award along to each of you. A Little Studio Peek!

I must say, I just don't know where the weekend went! I remember Friday, the rest was a blur! But happy brand new week to all of you! I did have a full weekend, and wanted so much to take a little relaxing drive up the coast but it never happen! My studio and chores kept me inside all weekend! I did manage a run to our neighborhood Michaels for some ribbon I needed! But all in all it was a nice weekend, and I must admit I did get quite a lot accomplished! :o)

It has been a long while since I have shown my crafty studio room, so I thought I would share a few corner photos Honey took not many weeks back. I so enjoy seeing where all the crafty fun happens for all of you, and many of you have inspired me to try new supplies and more! So here are a few pics of where I have loads of crafty fun! By the way the above basket is where I keep all my knitting needles and the round boxes with bows are filled with thread and other little notions!

A few of my knitting books! Oh my, I love knitting books and these were stacked here as I was looking for a particular pattern! :o)

I know mailing supplies are not at all exciting, but here are mines and I just would be lost without them! My least favorite tool, but I think one of the most important! :o) So that is a few corners, when I take more I will be sure and share them with you. Well I guess I will get to work! Joy for the Journey!

Hello all! Hope you had a lovely week, and plans for a wonderful weekend! As mention on my site A Lilac In My Path, I have been reading Joy For the Journey a wonderful little book for women with thoughts from many of my favorite Christian writers. I love this book because it is so easy to carry with me, and allows me to read something wonderful anywhere anytime! Well I wanted to share a thought with you from one of its authors Gloria Gaither. A little thought for the weekend! :o)

Daring To Risk

Dwelling on the past-successes or failures-
is a waste of energy and sin against the Holy
Spirit, whose work it is to call out the gifts we
have and make of us all God wants us to be. Even failure
can be a springboard to growth and discovery, so we
should never allow the fear of it to keep us from daring to risk.

Part of life's great adventure is the growth process
itself. There is wonderful freedom and joy in coming to
recognize that the fun is in the becoming. As long as we
live, we will never "arrive", but only discover new tracts
of unexplored territory.
