Have a beautiful one!

Wanted to take out a moment to wish each of you a most beautiful weekend, and share this sweet sentiment.

Giving is a joy
if we do it in the right spirit.
It all depends on whether
we think of it as
"What can I spare?"
or as
"What can I share?"

Thank you Betty Jo!

Hoping you all are having a lovely Father's Day and an all around beautiful Sunday. As promised, I decided today was the perfect time to share with you the many pretty things that were a part of Betty Jo's recent giveaway. This indeed was a beautiful package, and I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed looking through all the goodies inside! Betty Jo even added a little cotton bodysuit for my new little grand baby, and other little unexpected goodies like a pretty set of note cards...I love note cards, and these are just lovely! Part of the gift was the book Easy Roses, a pretty and very informative little book on growing roses the easy way! The photos are just beautiful! Oh yes there was chocolate too....delicious! And oh my, the little rose jar and Laura Ashley pot holder I will treasure forever. By the way if any of you have not yet visited Betty Jo pop over I just know you will enjoy your visit there! Enjoy the photos!

I also received two digital scapbooking magazines, and one of my favorites magazines...Memory Makers! Thank you so very much Betty Jo! Have a lovely upcoming week all of you!

Simple Things......

Hello! Hoping all of you are having a most fabulous week! Remember my last post I mentioned my desire to knit little cupcakes! Well here is the beginning of my first! I am using an Egyptian cotton for the base, but truly plan to use a merino wool for my next. Cotton can be sort of pesky to knit with at times....not very flexible! I am excited about this little knit. Sometimes just a small change of pace, a different direction can do a world of good. :o) I also took some time out to find a sweet way to use up some of my many many buttons! You know many of us girls just love our buttons! I happen upon a lovely button tutorial and blog site that was new to! I was so excited about this little tutorial I had to try a few button flowers last night, and here they are!

Cute Cute as a button! Now you can add a pen backing and make a brooch, or add a magnet as I plan to do and stick these little flowers everywhere! For more ideas and to see more of these pretty little florets and tutorial you must visit the designer at Artsy Crafty By the way, I think even if you are not a crafter you will enjoy making these little pretties and it is a lovely way to use some of those just sitting buttons!

You know, it is the simple things in life that sometimes bring the most joy..... Have a lovely rest of the week!

Love is a joyful gift
to receive,
but far more fulfilling to give.

Hello to each of you! I sure hope the starting of your week is a wonderful one! I just had to share these beautiful hybrid calla lilies with you. The darker are the beautiful Amethyst lily and the other a pretty beautiful! Honey was able to take a photo of them at our local florist....

Thanks to all of you for your so sweet comments on our newest member of the family! He is such a delight and growing too! Boy it does not take long, before we know it he will be up and toddling around! :o)

Betty Jo over at Digi Scribbles had an oh so beautiful giveaway and I won! I remember visiting her and smiling at all the lovely pieces thinking how wonderful for the winner! Well on Saturday I checked my blog and my oh my what a surprise! I cannot wait to share photos with you! In the mean time, you must visit Betty Jo and her beautiful blog. An artist and photographer, Betty Jo takes absolute breathtaking photos! Her digital scrapbooking pages are so lovely and as part of her giveaway I will receive two digital scrapbooking magazines! You can find her bio and beautiful work and scrapbooking kits at Daisie Company and a beautiful display of her work on her blog!

I have plans to up date my craft blog soon. I must admit I have been a little slack in this area, but I have been crafting mainly knitting. I have had neck cozies and summer scarves coming out of my ears! :o) I have five more promised scarves to knit and I will be moving on! I have a lovely little patchwork blanket I will be starting for my grand baby and I want to knit cupcakes. I have been wanting to knit these little pretties for a while now, and I think they make a soothing little summer knit. :o) The pattern can be found in the book One Skein by Leigh Radford, quick and easy little projects that only take one that's my kinda knitting! I have quite a bit on my plate this week so I better get going. All of you have a most beautiful rest of the week..... Here is a sweet little quote we should all ponder, pass it on.....

Your attitude determines
Your altitude.
