Had To Say Hello....

Hello to all of you! How I miss you all so much... Thanks for the sweet comments you left. I truly have some loving and thoughtful friends in blog land! Honey and I are having a wonderful time... It has been a while since we have just rested and enjoyed... I still have a little more than a week to go... I will be back September 1; I have so much to tell you!

I saw the most beautiful flowers and had to have a picture of them... They are just beautiful, but what are they? I am pretty good with naming most flowers, but these well I have not a clue do you? I would love to know....

I am sure I will get another quick post in, but until then take care and I will see you soon!

Hugs to all of you....

Hi Beverly

What a lovely surprise! I wasn't expecting to see you for a while yet.

I'm sad because I can't see those flowers....just a box with an x in it! Enjoy the rest of your blogging break.

The flower is called Sweet William (Dianthus) They smell wonderful! I am a Master Gardener in PA. I love your blog! The name Tea Time and Roses caught my eye right away. One of my favorite things to do to relax is go to the local tea room.
I will be visiting your blog often.

I love Sweet William too... a special favorite since my first born's first spring!

Beverly, thank you so much for the praise of Max's quilt... it makes me so happy for him, because he felt even more excited about his accomplishment when I showed it to him on the blog. He said, "All your blog friends will see it, won't they?"

I think you are smart to take time to enjoy the summer, and I look forward to getting caught up with you in September.

Be well. And, like Tracy taught me: ((Hugs))

Well, you sure say hello in a vibrant way! Those flowers are gorgeous and I must admit that I don't know what they are called.

Thanks for your kind thoughts earlier today! I am so glad that you are having a truly restful and enjoyable time!

Hugfully, kj

Those flowers are stunning, and they are the biennial Sweet Williams. Their scent is heady and sweet - definitely one of my favourites!

I'm glad you're having a wonderful time and can't wait for your return :)

Beverly...glad you are enjoying some R & R with sweet hubby...and those flowers are one of my favorites...Sweet William I'm not sure if all my Dianthus I've planted are Sweet William...but I love how they tolerate the heat...but also last through the fall...mine may be a different variety...none the less I love them all...I found it interesting the other day while flipping through my "Flowers From Holland" guide book (I use it for a wedding flower guide) that carnations as we call them are also a member of the Dianthus family...kind of makes sense, actually because they are just a larger version of these...with a fuller bloom...LOVED that color!!

Those sweet williams are glorious!
You are so talented - your embroider is just lovely. I really like your pin cushions - I hope they will be for sale.
Enjoy the rest of your break and I look forward to your return.

I have just began to find your spot and I too have been missing you. The flowers are dianthus. I have grown those and they smell sooooo wonderful. Hope to hear from you soon.

Dianthus is what you have there, but by now you already know that :) They are part of the carnation family. I remember reading that somewhere.

Enjoy your time away, xo.

Hi Beverly
I hope that you are enjoying your break.
Thank you for all the kind comments.
My son had to wait a few extra days before we got home to get his results so he was getting a bit jittery:-)
I loved the flowers that you embroidered in an earlier post.
Take care,
Alison x
