busy me......

 

Oh my is it really February already!  Are you enjoying a beautiful new year, I certainly hope so.  Sorry for the long time away and certainly missed you much.  I have been busy in my little studio creating away for the sweetest brides-to-be.  I am so enjoying sharing in their excitement and it feels wonderful to play a tiny part in help making their day a special one.

The tree near my studio window is beginning to lose its pretty white winter blooms and giving way to tiny tender green leaves letting me know that spring is not too far in the future.  When the winds blow, the little white flowers look like butterflies in flight, so very pretty.  I am longing for spring are you.  

I have had very little time for photo taking as of late.  In those times, I search the web for something wonderful and certainly found it in ace clipart.  It is a wonderful site and have some beautiful photos for your use.  I chose the lovely butterfly photo above, pretty don't you think.  I hope you take a peek.  Like me you just may need them someday. :)

for the love of christmas....

The tree is dressed and the excitement of Christmas is in the air.  Hello all, I hope each of you are enjoying a beautiful week.  It certainly is a busy time of year for so many of us.  Last evening Honey and I went in search of Christmas lights.  If you have followed me for sometime here on the blog, you know how much I love all those pretty twinkling colorful lights, simply wonderful!  Christmas is certainly a special time of the year!

Tomorrow I will be making a trip to the market in search of some lovely red delicious apples, some for eating and some for oven drying for apple cinnamon potpourri.  I missed making them last year and was determined to do so this year.  Once the slow process of drying the apples is done then the real fun begins.  I then add to the apples, cinnamon, apple spice potpourri oil, cinnamon sticks and a few small dried pods. Once all ingredients are added I place it all in a bag and shake shake shake afterwards placing it all in a pretty bowl. The wonderful smell of these apples certainly say Christmas and last and last.  If the smell fades simply add a few drops of potpourri oil.  Click here for complete instructions on drying apples. happy thanksgiving....

Honey and I jumped out of bed this morning with much anticipation of putting the turkey in the oven.  It is Thanksgiving eve!  I can imagine you too are making a list and checking it twice making sure you've not missed anything. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family dear friends.  We have so much to be thankful for, indeed so much.

As a tradition at our house we set aside time to allow each person to give personal thanks.  I want you to know that I am truly thankful for each of you.  I hope you really know just how special you are, quite special I must say.  Enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving Day each and everyone of you.

 Wanted to take a moment to wish each and everyone of you a lovely weekend!  I indeed do have plans for a restful one after a very busy week.  Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we are certainly excited around our house.  Turkey, stuffing and all the fixings, oh yes. :)  I promise to be back with more in a few days.
